2003 Villány-Siklós trocken Bock Cuvée, Südliches Transdanubien, Hungary

Translate to English Recht konzentrierter Duft nach eingemachten schwarzen Beeren und etwas Kirschen mit gewürzigen und holzigen Aromen, etwas Bitterschokolade, Tabak und mineralischen Tönen. Reife, saftige, ganz leicht kompottige Frucht im Mund, deutlich holzige Würze, nussige Töne und wieder Bitterschokolade, präsentes, überwiegend mürbes Tannin, nur zum Teil leicht antrocknend, dicht und nachhaltig am Gaumen, gewisse Wärme, viel Kraft, etwas Tiefe, sehr guter, saftiger und gewürzig-holziger Abgang mit kräuterigen Nuancen. Was haben wir uns geirrt in diesem Wein; hat das Holz erstaunlich gut weggesteckt und präsentiert sich heute in einer Form, die wir ihm bei der ersten Probe vor vielen Jahren nie zugetraut hätten.

Editor note: Dried black berries and prunes on the nose, spicy notes, quite prominent oak, roasted notes. Full-bodied, fairly juicy on the palate, but also has prominent roasted oak, very prominent sandy and astringent tannins, quite firm and persistent, has some depth, noticeable alcohol, herbaceous traces in the background, some chocolate, medium depth, very good finish.
