2021 Bingen Scharlachberg Riesling Grosses Gewächs, Rheinhessen, Germany

Still a little wild, slightly smoky-reductive, also clearly vegetal and a little mushroomy nose with yellow-fruity aromas, floral nuances, some pepper and clear minerality. Still slightly reductive, only restrained, yet dense and deep fruit with tart vegetal, yeasty nutty and hints of tobacco, grip of crumbly, quite present tannin and fine, lively, yet rather marbling than gripping acidity, persistent and substantial on the palate, hints of yellow spice, a hint of tea, ginger in the background, ethereal spice, quite clear minerality, smoky nuances, gains more juice with air, very good, grippy and mineral finish with smoky notes.
