2020 Malterdingen Bienenberg Spätburgunder Grosses Gewächs "Wildenstein", Baden, Germany

Firm, dense and deep, intense, yet noble bouquet with polished aromas of black and red berries, cherry notes, fine herbal and floral nuances, a little tobacco as well as minty, but also slightly waxy ethereal notes. Taut, youthful and cool, very dense, extremely noble, tangy, relatively dark fruit, youthful, quite present, yet extremely fine tannin, a certain acidity bite, a lot of salt in the background, tobacco nuances and a hint of juniper, very delicate smoky hints, green-herbal nuances, persistent, deep and complex, concentrated and elegant at the same time, perfect balance, long, taut and cool, beguilingly tart-juicy finish with some dark ethereal spice and lots of pull. Grandiose.
