2020 Malterdingen Bienenberg Chardonnay Grosses Gewächs, Baden, Germany

Deep and quite intense, yet still undeveloped and smoky-reductive, rather firm, profound aroma with cool yellow-fruity aromas, very fine vegetal aromas, a little reminiscent of broccoli, delicate woody, almondy and mushroomy tones as well as mineral hints. Firm, dense and very cool in the mouth, bright fruit with lively acidity and grip, again fresh vegetal aromas, lots of bright minerality, smoky nuances, a hint of almonds in the background, persistent, good depth, has plenty of energy, but still seems a bit unapproachable, also almost cold, very good, tight, cool finish with plenty of bite.
