Tight, fresh, rather cool nose of red and black berries with fine dried herbal aromas, a little dark spice, leather, a hint of mushrooms, ash, hints of juniper and cherry nuances. Taut, juicy and fresh, again relatively cool fruit, lively acidity and fine, youthful tannin, nutty and restrained, noble cocoa-spicy aromas, some pepper, persistent on the palate, salted almonds in the background, dark ethereal spiciness, good depth, has power and emphasis, quite firm, almost sinewy construction, very good to long, juicy and finely spicy, again somewhat ethereal finish.
