2019 Malterdingen Bienenberg Spätburgunder Grosses Gewächs, Baden, Germany

Still somewhat closed, very slightly minty aroma of ripe, predominantly red berries and a little cocktail cherries with peppery and floral nuances as well as a hint of liquorice, tobacco, pepper, meat juice, tarragon and toasty traces. Quite juicy, noble fruit in the mouth, fine, slightly peppery, roasty and again also minty-herbal spice, lasting, certain freshness citrus zests in the background, also a trace of pomegranate, crumbly tannin and bite of fine acidity, lasting, fine Provence herbal spice, distinct minerality, a hint of rock candy, deep and multilayered, very good, almost a little sweetish, juicy finish with ethereal nuances.
