2019 Malterdingen Bienenberg Chardonnay Grosses Gewächs, Baden, Germany

Firm, barely developed, still slightly reductive, somewhat smoky and toasty aroma with noble yellow-fruity aromas, some yeast, ethereal herbal-vegetable tones, a little pepper, minerality and hints of bacon. Ripe, tightly knit, tangy fruit, nutty, floral and delicately herbal tones, a hint of red berries, distinct minerality, has grip and tension, still very young, some depth, very good, tight, tangy, quite concentrated finish with herbal-vegetable, peppery and distinctly mineral tones.
