2018 Malterdingen Bienenberg Spätburgunder Grosses Gewächs trocken, Baden, Germany

Tight, rather cool, a touch bacony and still yeasty, delicately mushroomy aroma of predominantly red berries with cherry nuances, floral tones, some beetroot, herbal notes, smoke and some minerality. Pure-toned, polished, juicy, rather bright fruit, spicy, slightly smoky and dried-floral aromas, persistent and firm, fine acidity and youthful, crumbly tannins, good depth, a hint of cocktail cherries, hints of ethereal herbs, very good, animatingly juicy finish with fine grip, spice and minerality
