2015 Bombach Sommerhalde Spätburgunder Grosses Gewächs trocken, Baden, Germany

Tart, earthy and slightly reminiscent of root vegetables with increasingly beguiling aromas of red and a little black berries, cherry notes, a little tobacco, pepper, cardamom, paprika, soup herbs and dried flowers. Firm and tart in the mouth, almost edgy, fairly dark fruit with prominent, fine sandy tannins, very slightly roasted oak notes, earthy and mineral notes, delicate yeasty notes on the palate, concentrated and persistent, good depth, lots of grip, hardly developed, spicy nuances , hints of herbs and salt, very good, firm, tart and catchy finish. Must necessarily mature.
