2012 Malterdingen Bienenberg Weißburgunder Grosses Gewächs trocken, Baden, Germany

Firm and concentrated, spicy oak, slightly nutty and slightly tobacco, ripe ripe fruit and some yellow melons, touch of butter and earthy and mineral notes. Surprisingly cool on the palate, tart, dense and very firm, some tobacco, nutty and vegetal notes, prominent mineral notes, elegant, fairly lively acidity, persistent on the palate, lots of grip, some depth, more delicate buttery notes in the background, delicate bite, very good to long, austere finish with juice and train and very delicate bitter. First class.
