2014 Jechtingen Eichert Spätburgunder trocken Erste Lage, Baden, Germany

Fairly tart nose, herbaceous and nutty notes, red and a few black berries, earthy and dried floral traces. Clear fruit on the palate, nutty, smoky, spicy oak, light vegetal, earthy and mineral notes, good persistence, hint of tobacco in the background, light bite, youthful tannins, partly integrated but also still slightly astringent, herbaceous traces, good to very good finish. Needs time to mature.
