2018 Sylvaner Landwein "Fass 27", Main, Germany

Firm nose, yeasty notes, partly dried vegetal and herbaceous notes, delicate hint of bacon, fairly elegant pomaceous fruit, prominent mineral notes. Ripe, partly candied fruit on the palate, firm, creamy and quite sweet, full-bodied, moderate acidity, integrated tannins, floral andyeasty traces, hint of tobacco, noticeable warm alcohol, good substance and persistence, some depth, shows more prominent mineral notes with aeration, hint of juniper, very good, creamy, rather sweet finish, creamy and warm. Unusual in its combination of sweetness and full body, but also very good.
