2018 Großheubach Spätburgunder, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Clear, polished aroma of ripe red berries with a hint of cocktail cherries with delicate floral and herbal nuances. Ripe, quite juicy fruit, slightly warm, sweetly spicy wood notes, fine, crumbly tannin and some bite, persistent on the palate, mineral tones in the background, also herbal notes, some melting, a little candied-nutty flavours, has more power than the moderate alcohol suggests, very good, quite firm, juicy and spicy finish with quite distinct minerality
