2014 Sylvaner Landwein, Main, Germany

Very cool, elegant nose, delicate floral and prominent vegetal notes, light earthy and mineral notes, restrained yellow fruit with fairly prominent citrus notes, herbs, white pepper, yeasty notes, hint of tobacco. Fairly firm on the palate, grippy and lively, tart and juicy, firm acidity, light smoky oak, persistent, slightly creamy, integrated tannins provide grip, hint of sautéed ginger, good depth, appears more full-bodied than it is, nutty traces, hint of tobacco on a very good finish.
