2019 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Cabernet-Merlot Riserva "Arzio", Alto Adige, Italy

Tart, firm and quite deep, alcoholic aroma of blackcurrants, blackberries and a little cherries with smoky and nutty wood aromas, a little coffee grounds, hard cheese and tobacco. Ripe, rather tart dark fruit, partly seeming preserved, lots of smoky and bitterly spicy wood with cocoa and coffee notes, crumbly-sandy tannin, dark juniper-ethereal notes, plenty of alcohol, good persistence, minty traces, gains juice, precision and freshness with air, very good, only again alcohol-strong and still a bit wood-bitter finish.
