2021 Riesling VDP.Gutswein trocken Reserve, Rheingau, Germany

Tart, still slightly reductive, distinctly yeasty and somewhat nutty aroma with restrained, bright yellow fruity aromas, hints of dark berries and ashy traces. Cool, bright, quite dry fruit, nutty and distinctly yeasty aromas, somewhat vegetal on the palate, fine acidity and noticeable grip, almondy-nutty hints, a touch of white pepper, moderate barrel tones, distinct minerality, a touch of marzipan and bacon, very good, taut, tart finish with plenty of grip of ripe tannin and acidity.
