2016 Hattenheim Nußbrunnen Riesling Grosses Gewächs trocken, Rheingau, Germany

Firm, tart nose, prominent mineral notes, herbaceous notes, light yellow spice, partly dried yellow fruit, dried floral notes, hint of milky caramel, earthy traces, hint of tobacco. Very firm, juicy, slightly off-dry fruit on the palate, prominent yeasty and vegetal as well as herbaceous notes, ripe tannins provide firm grip, compact structure, quite concentrated, earthy and salty mineral notes in the background, hint of yellow spice and tobacco, complex, gripping, long, juicy, spicy finish. Needs time to mature.
