2015 Rüdesheim Berg Schlossberg Riesling Grosses Gewächs trocken, Rheingau, Germany

Tart yeasty nose, prominent nutty notes, dried vegetal notes and some old oak, restrained, cool, slightly citrussy yellow fruit, butter traces, light floral traces, intense, cool, stony mineral notes, hint of rose petals. More nutty notes on the palate, still slightly oaky, tranquil, firm, bone dry fruit, more prominent earthy and mineral notes, initially shows practically no fruit, but has substance, grip and depth, with aeration increasingly shows red vineyard peaches, persistent, full-bodied in spite of the moderate alcohol, still totally undeveloped, salty traces, hint of tobacco, good grip, very good, long finish, with aeration shows beguiling, but restrained fruit.
