2014 RESSpekt, Rheingau, Germany

Very tart, yeasty and at the same time very slightly open, dried planty, reminiscent of mussel shells and hints of iodine with acidic yellow fruity notes, floral traces and clear minerality. Ripe, fine, tightly knit, not completely dry fruit, lots of yeast and again mussel shells, strongly reminiscent of first-class champagne, very fine, lively acidity, some tannin, persistent on the palate, very slightly open, herbal nuances, a little candy and a hint of wine gum, noble citrus aromas, persistent, still quite young, salty minerality, also some chalky tones, a lot of power, despite the moderate alcohol, quite complex, very good to long, even if still slightly drying finish.
