2018 Pinot Noir trocken Cuvée "Max", Rheingau, Germany

Firm and quite deep, somewhat dried-floral aroma of predominantly dark berries and cherries with dried-herbal and currant leaf-like spice, juniper, a little bacon and moderate, again dark wood spice. Ripe, quite dense, very slightly warm, herbaceous and juniper-like dark fruit, present, ripe and friable, fine sandy tannin, bitter-chocolate-like wood notes, persistent, has power, salty mineral tones in the background, a little coffee, very good, firm, slightly warm finish with a lot of grip, dark fruit, mint, noticeable alcohol and bitter-chocolate-like spice.
