The winery is located in the municipality of Kaltern in the Italian wine-growing area of South Tyrol ( Trentino-Alto Adige region). The family business was taken over by Andi Sölva in 2005 and the first wine was produced in 2007. The vineyards cover 2.1 hectares of vines around Kaltern. The Pulvernoa, Plantaditsch and Palurisch vineyards (~300 metres above sea level) are planted with 80 to 100-year-old vines of the Vernatsch variety, as well as Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Tannat. Pinot Blanc grows in the Riegel Malga (550 metres) and in the Riegel Hochleiten Riesling. Only physiologically ripe grapes are processed through selective hand-picking.
Work in the cellar is carried out according to a minimally invasive principle (as much as necessary, as little as possible). All wines are produced according to DOC guidelines. Depending on the type of wine, they are matured in stainless steel, in barriques, in large wooden barrels (10 hl) or in concrete vats. The quantity is limited to around 12,000 bottles. The premium wine is "Erbe+Auftrag Kalterersee DOC" (a Riserva). In co-operation with Norbert Kofler (WG Kiemberger), the red wine cuvée "Viribus Unitis"(Lagrein, Tannat), the white wine cuvée Viribus Unitis (Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Blanc, Riesling) and a rosé are produced. The winery is a member of the Free Winegrowers of South Tyrol.
