2009 Würzburg Innere Leiste Riesling Grosses Gewächs trocken, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Cool, relatively firm, distinctly vegetal citrus nose with some pome and stone fruit and floral nuances. Relatively bright, clear, juicy fruit, vegetal and delicately waxy tones, a touch of butter, fine acidity and delicate sweetness, a hint of candy, floral traces, somewhat chalky and salty, some persistence, very good finish. Perhaps already a bit past its prime, but still good to drink.
