2015 Spätburgunder trocken Grosse Reserve, Württemberg, Germany

Cool nose with some depth, nutty, smoky oak, predominantly dried citrus fruit and red berries, some punmpkin, shiitake mushrooms and acacia flowers. Striaightforward tart, juicy fruit on the palate, some sage and pomegranate, white pepper and sea salt, lively acidity, good persistence, fairly polished, cool earthy notes in the background, oak becomes more evident with aeration, good to very good salty, grippy finish. Still needs some time to develop.
