2016 Eltville Sonnenberg Riesling Erstes Gewächs, Rheingau, Germany

Vegetal, herbaceous and light earthy notes on the nose, yellow fruit, touch of yellow spice, earthy and mineral traces in the background. Ripe, slightly warm, sweetish and creamy fruit on the palate, some wine gums, prominent herbaceous notes, light floral notes, elegant acidity, hint of blue cheese in the background has some artificial notes, but improves with aeration, waxy notes, more cheese and wine gums on a decent to good, slightly sweetish and salty finish.
