2019 Neustadt Riesling VDP.Ortswein trocken "V.", Pfalz, Germany

Tart, still clearly yeasty, also somewhat planty peach-citrus nose with light mineral and a little almondy-nutty tones. Firm, cool, finely juicy, bright fruit, yeasty, nutty and vegetal tones, again a hint of smoke, chalky and also salty minerality, persistent, has tension and a certain depth, a lot of grip, still undeveloped, very good, firm, tart-juicy, yeasty and very mineral finish. Needs further ageing.

Editor note: Cool, firm, slightly yeasty and hinted vegetal scent with light yellow fruity aromas, a little white flowers and chalky as well as delicately mushy nuances. Also in the mouth cool and very bright, fine juicy, youthful fruit with lively, polished acidity and chalky-salty minerality, again a little white flowers on the palate, some depth, firm structure, delicate oily nuances, has substance, but remains very elegant, still hardly developed, very good, firm, juicy finish with draught. Must mature
