2011 Ruppertsberg Reiterpfad Riesling Grosses Gewächs trocken, Pfalz, Germany

Very lightly covered, clearly vegetal nose with yellow fruity and nutty aromas, a touch of tobacco and mineral notes. Ripe, warm and a little creamy-caramel in the mouth, sweetish-melty fruit, some tannin and moderate acidity, which gains bite with air, good substance and sustainability, warming alcohol, yellow spice on the palate reminiscent of cardamom, earthy notes, lots of nuts, clear minerality, very good, again warm finish. Maybe already a little above his best time, but especially if he tightens up after a little air, still good
