The "Wein- und Obstbau Hofmann GbR" farm is located in the municipality of Wiesenbronn (Steigerwald area) in the German wine-growing region of
Franconia. Viticulture has been practised in this traditional family since 1750. Until the 1950s, the family also ran a cooperage (barrel maker's shop). Of the total 21.5 hectares of farmland, 16.5 hectares are used for agriculture, two for fruit growing and three for viticulture. Heinrich Hofmann is responsible for agriculture and fruit-growing, while his son Mario has been in charge of viticulture since 2004. The vineyards cover three hectares of vineyards in the single vineyards Geißberg, Wachhügel (Wiesenbronn) and
Kirchberg (Castell). They are planted with the white wine varieties Silvaner, Riesling, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Bacchus and Müller-Thurgau, as well as the red wine varieties Pinot Noir, Blauburger, Dornfelder, Regent and Portugieser. The wide range of products is divided into Basic, Summertime (new Franconian), Premium (bottled in
Bocksbeutel ) and Superpremium (max. 45 hl/ha yield, aged in barriques). A wide range of noble brandies (fruit, pomace) and liqueurs are produced in the in-house distillery
