The winery is located in Stammersdorf
(part of the 21st district of Vienna Floridsdorf) in the northwest of the Austrian capital Vienna
. The trained architect DI Hans Peter Göbel took over his father's winery as a career changer after his death in the mid-1990s. Attached is a Heuriger
, which is more like a trendy pub in terms of ambience. The vineyards comprise three hectares of vines on the Bisamberg
in the Gabrissen, In den Breiten, In den leeren Beuteln and Jungenberg vineyards. They are planted to 60% with the red wine varieties Zweigelt, Cabernet Sauvignon and Blauburger, and 40% with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay and Riesling. The white wines are aged in stainless steel after cooled fermentation. The grapes for the red wines are selected and grapevines are selected and rubbed by hand, usually in several passes. After fermentation in closed maceration tanks, they are aged in barriques for 12 to 15 months. Premium wines are Grüner Veltliner, Zweigelt Alte Reben from a plant that has remained unchanged since 1956 and the red wine cuvée Berg (Zweigelt, CS).
