2014 Asplenium ruta muraria, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Clear nose, light animal notes, light smoky oak, predominantly red and a few black berries, pomegranate and cherries, peppery traces, hint of sage, licorice and floral traces. Clear, polished, cool, juicy fruit on the palate, lively acidity, youthful fine tannins, good persistence, herbs and pepper in the background, salty traces, fairly persistent, some bite, hint of sage on a fairly juicy finish.
