The winery is located in the municipality of Deutsch-Schützen
in the Austrian DAC area Eisenberg
. It is managed by Erich Körper. 85% of the red wine varieties Blaufränkisch
(main variety), Zweigelt, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, and 15% of the white wine varieties Welschriesling and Grüner Veltliner are cultivated. A quality-enhancing yield reduction is achieved by short pruning
and thinning out
. The wines are produced exclusively as pure varieties. The white wines are bottled very early in order to preserve youth and freshness. The red wines are aged after classic open mash fermentation, gentle pressing and biological acid reduction, partly in large wooden barrels, but also in small barriques made of French Allier oak.
