2021 Grauburgunder Landwein "Molassefels", Oberrhein, Germany

Nutty, slightly smoky and distinctly yeasty core fruit aroma with citrus notes, herbal and floral notes, light barrel tones, and a hint of fresh mushrooms in the background. Herbaceous-juicy, youthful, still underdeveloped fruit, vibrant acidity and grip of ripe, crumbly-sandy tannins, smoky wood notes on the palate, slightly herbal tones and mushrooms again, good sustainability, still slightly drying, distinct, almost gripping minerality, very good, firm, distinctly bitter finish with bite.
