2017 Grauburgunder Landwein trocken "Molassefels", Baden, Germany

Somewhat developed, nutty-woody, also buttery aroma of ripe pome fruit with some yellow spice and hints of tobacco. Ripe, firm, tart fruit, distinct wood spice, nutty and slightly smoky aromas, fine acidity, grip of ripe tannin, persistent on the palate, good substance and lots of power, certain alcohol warmth, remains quite taut, minerality in the background, a hint of bacon, yeasty nuances, very good, tart finish, again with noticeable alcohol and very slightly drying tannin.
