The "Wein- & Sektkellerei Kirchmayr Weinerlebnis Kirchmayr GmbH&Co. KG" with its headquarters in the community of Weistrach in western Lower Austria was founded by Hans Kirchmayr. Since 2001, the company has been run by the Kirchmayr siblings Andreas and Christina Kirchmayr.
There are no own vineyards. The grapes come from producers with long-term contracts and a total of 140 hectares of vineyards from nine Austrian wine-growing regions in the best locations. These are Kamptal (Alte Point, Hund, Loibenberg, Stangl), Kremstal, Thermenregion, Traisental, Wachau (Frauenweingarten) and Weinviertel (Altenberg) in Lower Austria, as well as Mittelburgenland (Hochäcker), Neusiedlersee, Leithaberg and Eisenberg. 75% of the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner, Riesling,Pinot Blanc, PinotGris, Traminer, Muscat, Sauvignon Blanc, Müller-Thurgau, Silvaner, Chardonnay and Neuburger, and a quarter of the red wine varieties Zweigelt, St. Laurent,Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon and Blauer Portugieser.
After the grape harvest, the grapes are transported to Weistrach in refrigerated wagons. The wines are vinified in the Meierhofkeller of Seitenstetten Abbey, which is about ten kilometres away. The cornerstones of the company philosophy in the cellar are spontaneous fermentation and ageing in large wooden barrels. The wines are produced in three lines. These are Juventus (young, light wines), Prinz (powerful Prädikat wines) and Solist (bottle-aged old wines aged 10 years and longer). Among them are also various Rieslings and Grüner Veltliner , and . The range of products is rounded off by the bottle-fermented sparkling wines "Die Erfüllung" (Grüner Veltliner with Klimt label), "Abteisekt" (GV) and Riesling sparkling wine. In addition, sparkling fruit wines (apples, pears) are also produced. In Weistrach there is also a vinotheque with wines dating back to 1971.
