2019 Meddersheim Altenberg Spätburgunder Réserve trocken, Nahe, Germany

Somewhat more developed, warmer, a hint of earthy-root vegetable scent of partly dried predominantly dark berries with a touch of iodine and soy sauce, a bit of leather and woody notes. Rather dry, again a slightly matured fruit with woody spice, smoke, pepper, and dried-plant tones, fine sandy, slightly drying tannin, noticeable alcohol strength and warmth, a hint of malt and again soy sauce, good to very good, again warm finish with a slight wood bitterness.
