The winery is located in the municipality of Göttlesbrunn in the Lower Austrian wine region of Carnuntum. Walter Glatzer is one of the rising stars and co-founders of the so-called "red wine miracle" in the region. The vineyards comprise 30 hectares of vineyards in the Altenberg and Haidacker areas. Grapes from a further 30 hectares are purchased from contract winegrowers.
The red wines are fermented on the mash in stainless steel tanks. Then the malolactic fermentation is carried out in wooden barrels or in and then the wines are aged in different oak barrels according to the vineyard plot. The white wines are fermented in stainless steel tanks for varietal typicity and are stored on the for a long time. The premium wines include the brand "Dornenvogel" (a red wine from Zweigelt, a white wine from Grüner Veltliner), "Rubin Carnuntum" (Zweigelt), Sauvignon Blanc Altenberg and the red wine cuvée "Gotinsprun" (Blaufränkisch, Syrah, Merlot, Zweigelt), which was created in 1987 and is named after an old name from Göttlesbrunn. About 2500,000 bottles of wine are produced annually. The winery is a member of the Rubin Carnuntum Weingüter and Traditionsweingüter Österreich wine associations.
