2018 Nierstein Orbel Riesling Grosse Lage, Rheinhessen, Germany

Firm and quite deep, dense, still slightly yeasty and also a little woody aroma of ripe yellow fruit with herbal and floral nuances, a little yellow spice and wax. Ripe, warm, juicy yellow fruit, slightly buttery-creamy notes, some wood, wax and yellow spice, ripe acidity, phenolic grip, persistent and quite powerful on the palate, sweet melting, salt in the background, smoky nuances, a trace of protein, very good, firm, sweetish-juicy, warm and spicy finish with candied notes.
