The red grape variety (also CAAB 3/22) is a new variety between Castets x Abouriou. The name was given after a tributary of the Danube. It was crossed in 1976 in Slovakia (then Czechoslovakia) by Dorota Pospíšilová. The plant variety protection was granted in 2011.
