The headquarters of the "Villa Sandi SRL" winery is located in the municipality of Crocetta del Montellio (locally Crozeta) in the province of Treviso in the Italian
Veneto region. In 1622 the Venetian nobleman Vettor Sandi had a villa built, from which the name is derived. The estate has been owned by the Moretti Polegato family for several generations. Today it is managed by Giancarlo Moretti Polegato. The energy is generated to a large extent by a small hydroelectric power station and a photovoltaic system
Our own vineyards cover 86.5 hectares of vineyard area. A further 380 hectares are supplied by contract winegrowers who are bound for several years. There are four estates: in Crocetta del Montello (50 hectares), in Nervesa della Battaglia (25 hectares with Glera and Chardonnay), in Valdobbiadene (10 hectares with Glera) and in the Cartizze area (1.5 hectares with "La Rivetta" vineyard and 107 hectares with 140 owners). The white wine varieties
Glera (40%), Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Pinot Bianco and Incrocio Manzoni 2.15, as well as the red wine varieties Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Pinot Noir are processed
Among the premium wines is the DOC
Prosecco "Opere Trevigiane" in different variants, which is produced according to the method called Metodo martinotti
(Méthode charmat) (the cellars store about 1.5 million bottles of it, of which about 200 are produced annually.000 of them are marketed annually), the DOCG
Conegliano-Valdobbiadene Prosecco "La Rivetta" and, as the most important red wine, "Còrpore" made of Merlot, which matures for 12 months in barrique and in bottle before being marketed. A total of 4.5 million bottles are produced annually. About 60% of these are exported to over 80 countries, with Germany as the main sales country.
