The winery is located in the municipality of Kaltern (Caldaro) in the Italian wine-growing area of Südtirol ( Trentino-Südtirol region). In addition to viticulture, 1.1 hectares of land are used for farming, including spelt and maize. Holiday flats are also offered for rent. The farm, which has always been run by the family, has been managed by Andreas Dichristin since 1990. The vineyards cover 2.6 hectares and are planted with the red wine varieties Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, as well as the white wine varieties Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier. Until 2004, the vineyards were cultivated conventionally and minimally without herbicides, synthetic fertilisers and pesticides. They then switched to biodynamic viticulture. Sheep graze in the rows of vines and their manure is used to make compost. In addition to the biodynamic preparations, nettle, camomile and dandelion tea is used to strengthen the vines.

The cellar work is carried out according to the non-invasive principle "we don't make wines, we let them become". The grape musts and wines are moved extremely gently without the use of pumps. After spontaneous fermentation, the wines are matured in large wooden barrels or in Spanish clay amphorae, depending on the type of wine. The only addition is sulphur in very small quantities of a maximum of 35 mg/l; no fining techniques are used. The majority of the approximately 8,000 to 10,000 bottles are vinified in clay amphorae, as is the company's flagship wine "Sauvignon Anphora Garnellen".
