2018 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Sauvignon Riserva "Rachtl", Alto Adige, Italy

Firmly woven, quite deep and complex, herbaceous-vegetable and slightly woody aroma of ripe white and yellow fruits with pepper notes, also jalapeños, a little mushrooms, capers, artichokes and a hint of dark berries. Very tightly knit, concentrated, ripe, tangy fruit, nutty, slightly smoky and peppery tones, dried-vegetable to herbal aromas, on the palate, fine acidity and lots of grip, persistent, has power and good depth, bone dry style, still very young, some light wood and smoke in the background, very good, dense finish with plenty of persistence. Should mature further.
