2019 Toscana IGT "Franchesato", Tuscany, Italy

Firm and quite deep, very slightly fleshy-animalic scent of ripe black and a little red berries with Mediterranean herbs in the background, a little blood, cherries and juniper. Ripe, very slightly warm, juicy, polished fruit with chocolaty flavours, delicate bite, very fine, crumbly tannin, good persistence, almost a little flattering style, which however gains bite with air, meaty and toasty nuances in the background, has power, a hint of juniper, very good, juicy and a little chocolaty finish with noticeable alcohol warmth.
