2018 Bolgheri Sassicaia DOC, Tuscany, Italy

Tart, firm and clear, quite deep, relatively cool aroma of black and red berries with slightly dried herbal and tobacco aromas, a hint of herbs, pepper and cedary nuances. Clear, very tightly knit, polished, again rather cool fruit, lively acidity and grip of fine sandy tannins, intense, distinctly salty minerality on the palate, herbaceous and delicately peppery nuances, persistent, elegant, downright noble style, certain lightness, still barely developed, herbaceous nuances, somewhat spicy, taut, tangy and again mineral finish with nutty and tobacco hints and plenty of draw. Definitely needs to mature
