Firm and quite deep, somewhat warm aroma of very ripe red and black berries with cherry nuances, tobacco wood notes, Mediterranean herbs, chilli peppers, moderate roasting, pepper and a hint of juniper. Tight, juicy, quite fresh looking, red and black fruit, slightly toasty notes, plus lots of ethereal spice, has acid bite and lots of ripe, predominantly friable, yet present tannin, persistent on the palate, blueberry tones, lots of salt, smoky notes, restrained power, quite complex, very good, tight, juicy and spicy finish with bite and cooling ethereal-herbal flavours with bite.

Best to drink: 2024-2035+. What our ratings mean
