2006 Süd-Steiermark Ried Gamitz Sauvignon Blanc trocken ****Joseph, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Pears and citrus fruit on the nose, some peppery and mineral notes, elegant herbaceous notes, spicy oak. Juicy on the palate, sweetish and creamy, spicy oak, elegant, almost playful acidity, persistent, mineral notes in the background, good depth, still very young and undeveloped, long finish. Will probably still improve with maturation.
