2009 Würzburg Stein Riesling Spätlese trocken, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Slightly yeasty, herbal-spicy and clearly earthy-mineral nose with restrained yellow-fruity and delicately peppery notes. Firm and fine on the palate, dry fruit with earthy minerality and tart spiciness, fine, lively acidity, some carbonic acid, vegetal notes in the background, has grip and good persistence, more traditional style, more soil-orientated than fruit-orientated, very harmonious, very good finish.
