Editor note: Clear, fresh, polished, deep, fairly complex nose, black berries and cherries, elegant peppery spice, lavender, hint of tobacco, mineral notes. Firm, clear, very juicy fruit on the palate, light smoky. spicy oak, some cocoa, light acid bite, youthful, very fine tannins, persistent, very polished and fresh, mineral notes in the background, delicate herbaceous and peppery traces, refreshing tart style, good depth, clear contours, slightly bitter spicy oak and coffee notess on a very good, long, crisp, juicy finish.

The municipality of Nierstein-Schwabsburg with a population of around 8,400 is located on the Rhine in the federal state of Rhineland-Palatinate. The Schwabsburg district was an independent municipality until 1970. One of the three winegrowing areas in the Rheinhessen wine growing region was also named after Nierstein, the other two are Bingen and Wonnegau.
