2005 Riesling "Pettenthal", Großes Gewächs, Rheinhessen, Germany

Stone fruit and some hints of Mediterranean fruit on the nose, some apple and herbaceous notes, mineral notes. Frim and slightly angular on the palate, slightly hidden, compact stone fruit, hint of tobacco develops with aeration, integrated, fairly elegant acidity, delicate herbaceous notes in the background, noticeable, slightly rough bitter note, not particularly deep, although quite full-bodied, attractive to good finish.
