2004 Nierstein Hipping Riesling Grosses Gewächs, Rheinhessen, Germany

Noticeably mature nose, citrus fruit as well as restrained pomaceous fruit and stone fruit, elegant, tart spicy notes, mineral notes. Clear, straightforward style, light vegetal and some more light mineral notes on the palate, elegant, lively acidity, slightly rough and bitter, mature, dried herbs in the background, no longer particularly fresh, rough again on an attractive finish.
