A hint of leathery-animalic aroma of ripe black berries with a little smoke, dried-vegetable to tobacco nuances, earthy tones and a hint of tomato paste. Ripe, warm fruit with roasted and cocoa-spicy wood flavours, fine sandy, crumbly tannins and a certain alcohol warmth, persistent and powerful on the palate, some milk chocolate, a hint of tomato paste and violets, very good finish, again with ripe, warm fruit and chocolate. Clearly more convincing than the first sample.

Editor note: Tart, very slightly tobacco aroma of predominantly black berries with nutty and earthy hints and a touch of black salsify. Tart dark fruit with slightly toasty wood aromas, some smoke and peppery nuances, again earthy in the background, present, slightly drying tannin, lots of alcohol, bitterish cocoa notes, good to very good, again slightly drying and alcoholic finish with raisiny notes.
