The winery is located in the municipality of Premariacco (province of Udine) in the Italian region of Friuli Venezia Giulia. After studying biology and then working in a bank, Roberto Scubla took over his uncle's business in 1991. Alex Martincigh is the cellar master and Gianni Menotti is the winemaker. The vineyards cover 11 hectares of vines. The red wine varieties Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso and Schioppettino, as well as the white wine varieties Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Bianco (Pinot Blanc), Verduzzo Friulano, Tocai Friulano (Sauvignonasse), Malvasia Istriana (Malvazija Istarska), Ribolla Gialla and Riesling Renano (Riesling) are cultivated and processed.

The product range includes DOC wines Friuli Colli Orientali and the IGT wine Venezia Giulia. For the sweet wine "Cratis Verduzzo Friulano - Colli Orientali del Friuli Passito", raisined grapes are used, which are exposed to the cold, dry north wind Bora on grids, thus reducing the yield to 18 litres per hectolitre. After pressing before Christmas, the viscous grape must ferments in barriques (50% new and 50% second fill). The fermentation is interrupted after one month by a special cooling system in the barrels in order to maintain a high residual sugar content.
The "Colli Orientali del Friuli Bianco" is cuvetted from Pinot Bianco (60%), Tocai Friulano (30%) and Riesling Renano (10%). After gentle pressing, the wine undergoes eight months of chilled fermentation in French barriques with frequent bâtonnage. Maturation on the fine lees takes place for ten months in stainless steel and three months in the bottle. Every year, 50,000 bottles of wine are produced, a third of which is exported to Switzerland, Canada and the USA. The winery is a member of "Consorzio Tutela Vini Friuli Colli Orientali e Ramandolo", "Gruppo Viticultori Colli Orientali" and "Movimento Turismo del Vino".
